Arrive in Ahmedabad, drive to Bhuj, and transfer to your hotel. Bhuj, named after Bhujiyo Dungar hill, sits between Bhujiyo Dungar and Hamirsar Lake. Established in 1510, it boasts a medieval charm with its walls, bazaar, palaces, temples, and hosts the vibrant Rann Utsav festival annually.
After breakfast, embark on a day excursion to Banni villages in North Bhuj. These villages, near the India-Pakistan border, showcase master craftsmen creating traditional art. Experience local delights like Maavo in Bhirandiyara and explore Ludia Village known for Meghwal & Samma Communities. Witness the unique pottery art of Khavda, with women artisans intricately decorating each piece using natural materials.
After breakfast, drive to Jamnagar and transfer to your hotel. Once a significant princely state, Jamnagar now boasts a 200km coastline dotted with industries. Explore its rich history through landmarks like Pratap Vilas Palace, Darbargarh Palace, and Willingdon Crescent. Don't miss the revered Bala Hanuman Temple, known for continuous chanting since 1964.
After breakfast, proceed to Dwarka and check into your hotel. Dwarka, a significant Hindu pilgrimage site, was founded by Lord Krishna. Explore the ancient Dwarkadhish Temple and visit attractions like Bet Dwarka, Nageshwar Temple, Rukmani Temple, and Gomati Talav. Don't miss the ferry ride to Bet Dwarka for a unique experience.
Early morning, witness the Aarti at Dwarkadhish Temple. After breakfast, drive to Somnath via Porbandar. Porbandar, known for its coastal heritage, was once a flourishing trade hub and is associated with Mahatma Gandhi. Visit Kirti Mandir and Bharat Mandir before continuing to Somnath. Explore Somnath's legendary shore temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, known for its resilience against destruction and reconstruction. Visit Bhalka Tirth, where Lord Krishna is said to have left his human form.
After breakfast, travel to Diu and check into your hotel. Diu offers a serene escape with its picturesque blend of sun, sand, and sea. Explore its rich history at St. Paul’s Church known for its exquisite wood carvings, St. Thomas Church Museum displaying archaeological treasures, and the majestic Diu Fort standing sentinel by the coast, transporting visitors to a bygone era of gallantry.

After breakfast, journey to Sasan Gir, renowned as India's premier lion sanctuary, where Asiatic Lions roam in the wild. Located on the southwestern border of Gujarat's Saurashtra peninsula, Sasan Gir is home to nearly 400 lions. Established in 1913 for lion protection, it became a sanctuary in 1965. With lion safaris being a popular attraction, visitors can also spot various other wildlife species including leopards, deer, wild boars, and diverse birdlife.
After breakfast, proceed to Ahmedabad. En route, consider visiting the Sidi Tribal villages, descendants of African slaves who have made India their home. Upon arrival in Ahmedabad, transfer to your hotel. Founded in 1411 by Sultan Ahmad Shah, Ahmedabad is now one of India's fastest-growing cities and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Known for its rich cultural heritage and architectural marvels, including intricately carved wooden mansions and Indo-Saracenic mosques, Ahmedabad offers a fascinating blend of tradition and modernity. Explore the city's historic walled area, vibrant markets, and diverse architectural styles on a heritage walk.
After breakfast, embark on a city tour of Ahmedabad. Begin at Gandhi Ashram, where Mahatma Gandhi lived and led India's freedom movement, and visit Hridaya Kunj, his simple cottage preserved as a national monument. Explore Sidi Sayed Mosque, known for its exquisite stone window tracery. Continue to Hutheesingh Jain Temple, renowned for its ornate architecture. Then, visit Adalaj Step-well, an ancient rainwater harvesting structure adorned with intricate carvings. Conclude the tour at Akshardham, a modern Swaminarayan temple complex showcasing traditional Indian architecture and intricate sculptures of Hindu deities. Please note that Akshardham remains closed on Mondays.
